Hi, I’m Leah. I’m a writer and graphic designer. I live on Cape Breton Island, which is part of Nova Scotia, in Canada. My day job is a Job Developer/Trainer with adults with intellectual disabilities for a local non-profit organization, a job which I love because it allows me to learn new skills and contribute to the community.

This site is my home on the Internet. I share my stories and thoughts on my blog. I have some of my favourite design work in my portfolio. As I'm currently employed full-time, I'm not taking on freelance clients, but I will consider design or writing work on a case-by-case basis, so if you have a project you think I'd be interested in, please just contact me.

You may also know me from: For three years (2012 to 2015) I wrote a blog called "Dream Big Cape Breton," which was all about my life as a young person living on this fabulous - yet sometimes difficult - island, and all about the lives, work and dreams of other people that live here too. The full archives of that blog are still up, including loads of interviews, and you can access them here.

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear from you! The Internet may sometimes feel like a vast and deep rabbit hole, but it can also be a great place to connect across the kilometers with new friends.
